Steve Burns MD is a graduate of UCLA Medical School. He has been a practicing physician since 1974. Originally trained in Emergency Medicine, his practice for the last four decades has focused on Occupational Medicine, Urgent Care and General Practice. Most recently, Dr. Burns has spent 10 years as the Medical Director for the Karuk Tribe in Northern California, helping Natives and Non-Natives lead healthier, happier lives in this remote forest region.
Dr. Burns currently resides in Roseburg, Oregon along with his wife Kimberley. Dr. Burns has written an eBook that has had over 5 million readers. The eBook, "How to Survive Unbearable Stress" was illustrated by his wife, Kim. He has put the complete book, free, online for patients of Evergreen Family Medicine at www.TeachHealth.com/Patient.
Dr. Burns now is a full time member of the Urgent Care staff of Evergreen Family Medical. His motto is that "Caring for patients begins with caring about them". He hopes that you feel that all the staff of Evergreen care about you.
Dr. Burns and Kimberley have three grown children, and spend much time gardening, ranching, and Dr. Burns is an amateur radio operator (K6GIG) on cw (morse code) frequencies.
