Shelley Brittain

MD

Dr. Shelley Brittain joined Evergreen Family when she and her family made Roseburg their home in 2008. Having grown up in the mountains of NC, she and her husband, Marc, found life in Douglas County to share many of the pleasing qualities found in the rural community where they met as children. Their children, Laura and Lee, are now grown and are making their own lives in Oregon. For Shelley and Marc, the many hours previously spent attending after school activities with their kids have been replaced with a small scale livestock operation featuring custom cut beef as well as collection of other four legged friends.

Dr. Brittain is a 1989 graduate of the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine through the Greenville Hospital System in Greenville, SC during the summer of 1992 and began private practice near Greenville, SC that fall. She served as chief resident in Internal Medicine while in residency as well as on a number of hospital committees during her tenure there. Over the years that have followed, she has served on multiple hospital and practice based committees and maintains board certification in Internal Medicine. As a member of the board of directors at Evergreen Family Medicine, she is pleased to help with the decision making that shapes the future of the practice while continuing to provide medical care to adult patients in Douglas County.
